Meditation Step Three –Exploring Within

When I first started meditating, it was to relax and release some of the built up stress and tension in my life. Rest assured, it worked. Yet, after awhile, it seemed I’d tapped into so much more.

I did a little research (okay, possibly an excessive amount) and found a TON of guided meditations that shed light on, well, a lot of things. Really cool things, too.

Stuff like: How to meet your spirit guides, (I’d already been talking to one on a regular basis, perhaps I had more?) how to tune into your own intuition, recognize signs from passed over loved ones….all sorts of stuff!

So, I tried out a few. I ‘may’ have tried out a whole bunch of ‘few’ guided meditations and eventually started creating my own daily meditation which I do every morning for approx. 20 min.

I discovered more Guides alright. I also was able to receive messages (and have full on conversations) with passed on loved ones. Now, I don’t need to be in a meditative state to do this, but it certainly helps and it was a place to get my feet wet (if I may slip in a familiar idiom) and learn to listen more carefully in a deeper relaxation state.

You can do this too.

I highly recommend taking the time to surf through the plethora of guided meditations on YouTube and see what gels with you.

If this isn’t your thing and you’re more comfortable with sticking to basics and using meditation as a relaxation and focusing tool, that’s fine. Whatever floats your boat.

I’ve met many people who wish they could meditate if only: they could find the time, concentrate long enough, sit still for 10 min. etc., etc.

People, you CAN do this. But, it takes time and effort. Remember learning how to ride a bike for the first time? I doubt you got it right immediately and you had to practice and practice, yes? You may have even taken a spill onto the sidewalk, or two and you didn’t give up, did you?!

“But, back then I was a KID! I had SO much time and stuff and, and…”

Put away the excuses and give it a proper go. One day you’ll thank me.

Nothing worthwhile comes super easy or without any effort.

How much time and effort are YOU willing to put in to make your life better, ease up on that anxiety and even reach past your Ego and explore your Soul?

Give it a shot; I promise you that in time you’ll look forward to it and you won’t even have to fall down and skin your knees.
