I am a client-centred therapist so if you’re looking for a way forward from an existing problem where you are in control, you’ve come to the right place. I use many therapeutic modalities and as you are a unique individual, your healing will also be tailored to you.
As a (Certified Hypnotherapist) in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and an RTC (Registered Therapeutic Counsellor,) my promise to you is to make sure that you’re seen, heard and that you know that you matter.

What I offer
Grief Therapy

There are many kinds of grief; what I primarily focus on is complex grief and more specifically suicide grief and MAID (medical assistance in dying). This is where I have my own life experience as well as an understanding that this specialized grief is under recognized and under supported.

I work with those who are left behind when loved ones either chose to die by suicide or chose MAID. There are no judgements, here, only compassion and understanding as I assist you in navigating through these life changing decisions.

Anxiety
I know what it’s like to suffer from anxiety and what a panic attack looks and feels like. I would like to rephrase the words “panic” and “attack”. They don’t help those of us who’ve had to experience them. They do the opposite by invoking negative feelings within us, causing fear, and making things worse. I can help you understand your ‘anxiousness’, help you determine what’s causing it and then guide you in releasing it.
Trauma & Addictions
From childhood trauma to recent events; we all experience traumatic events in our lives that shape us. I list addictions along with trauma because the two generally go hand-in-hand. I come from a family that has struggled with alcohol and opioid addictions as well as a lot of trauma.

Whether you're struggling with an addiction or are a loved one of someone who is, counselling is a big part of recovery and forgiveness. This is a journey that is yours but you need not walk it alone.

I’ve found that the two combined together in a session works wonders and speeds up the healing process so that you can move into the new and better life you envision for yourself. Whether you are seeking therapy in the form of counselling or are open to hypnotherapy, am I happy to be of service to you.
There is a lot of confusion and mistrust about hypnotherapy so let’s clear the air. First and foremost, I want to emphasize the word ‘therapy’. Everything that I do, is therapy.
The state of trance (hypnosis) is a very natural state that we go into every day. Whenever you daydream, meditate, whenever you get so engrossed in a movie or book, that the rest of the world simply fades away – you are in trance.
Trance is simply: a state of focused and relaxed attention. It’s the ‘zone’ you go into when you’re running, painting, creating…working out at the gym.
During a hypnotic-state, you are always in control. In fact, I don’t do anything but help you move yourself into trance. I am the facilitator; you’re the one doing most of the work.
I bring in many counselling techniques such as: Mindfulness, Narrative therapy, Solution focused Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and several others. My aim is to adapt to what works best for you.
